Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT OTHERS HAVE WONDERED

  • Once you reach out, I'll check our calendar for availability. You'll then receive an email from me from which we will chat over the phone, email or in person. We'll make sure we are a good fit for one another. If so, I'll send over a custom proposal, including contract and invoice. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Once those few official booking details are confirmed, we're planning and/or designing lickity split.

  • We are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and open to travel across Canada. Not local to Winnipeg? No problem. We’ll plan for when you are town, and otherwise keep in touch over phone and email.

  • Each event is unique so we provide custom, flat rate quotes for our services. Factors we consider include: service type, event type, location(s), guest count, activities, general logistics, travel requirements, number of vendors involved, and how much set-up and take down is expected. For weddings, our services start at $1,500 for Wedding Day Management and go up from there for full-service planning and design. Dinner parties and other special occasions typically range between $500 and $4,000.

  • Full service or design and styling clients typically have a $40,000+ wedding budget. However, we work with other budgets for smaller, more intimate occasions.

  • Absolutely.

  • I am a Certified Wedding Planner through the Wedding Planner Institute of Canada and an international Certified Event Designer through the Wedding and Event Institute. My Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Manitoba took me through some account management positions at a marketing firm for a few years, giving me experience in demanding, fast-paced project management and working with a variety of personalities with high expectations. With Feast & Festivities, I've since been involved in planning and designing weddings, corporate events, birthday parties and intimate gatherings, each with their own look and feel.

  • Essentially, yes. Though we call it Wedding Day Management because it is more comprehensive than having us just show up on your wedding day. We really dig into the planning process three months out and help tie up any loose ends.

  • We work together! A venue coordinator will oversee the space, venue staff and any in-house food and beverage as it relates to the venue. Wedding planners oversee all logistic and design aspects as it relates to the entire vendor team and couple. A good wedding planner will not only make the day stress-free for the couple and their family, but also align the team of vendors to allow them to do their best work. Win, win, win.

  • Personal decor, small-scale rental decor, tablescape details, floral arrangement placement, sweets tables, candles, place cards, favours and stationery, among other feature decor details depending on the event. Finally, we'll spend some time adjusting and double checking placement of furniture, linens and chairs so everything is just so, you know? 👌🏼

  • We work with a variety of preferred suppliers and creatives to offer clients the opportunity to select vendors that fit their own style and budget. No two weddings are ever the same.

  • Aside from being a mother, heck no! I wouldn't rather be doing anything else.
